Due to this little mishap, the book crits we had arranged were cancelled, and needless to say I had no time to arrange my own before the trip. However, I still worked very hard in trying to put my own portfolio together. Turned out this was a good idea as I was able to get a book crit at Y & R when we visited the agency.
Y & R was a great agency to visit as we got to speak to a junior team who were hired just before christmas. They were very informative in how to get a job as they explained what they did on placement to stand out to the Creative Director.
Another agency we visited was Fallon, an agency we have been to previously. I quite enjoyed this visit as they liked the work I produced to the brief they set us the week before.
And of course we visited the great Dave Trott, which was very intense especially as he couldnt understand what I was saying lol. However, his talk really inspired me and gave a real shock into what I need to do in order to be good in the industry. Therefore, I am going to take up photography and study film much more closely.
So all in all a very productive week!
