Book Crit

Soooooo, just had a book crit at DrummondCentral and it went surprisingly well. It was my first proper book crit alone so i was quite nervous, especially since the last time i was there was as a team. Steve Drummond really likes a few of my campaigns and said they worked really well such as Barbour and Ebay, and gave me pointers on how to improve some of the rest.
He seemed quite impressed with my book and said it was one of the better books he has seen (which obviously makes me feel much better) and said if i keep working and find a partner i could be really good. He also offered me a weeks placement, where he can help me with my digital skills and prep for final show. result!

So a good bit of progress today!

Freak Out!

OMG!!! only 8 days left and about 5 weeks worth of work to do! stressing out a little bit about final show and getting everything maced up in time along with taking all the pictures for everyone's a5's. I'm sure everything will be fine tho.

Atm I'm just working on writing my report and finished PPD and i've just found out i need to write a creative CV. i have toyed with quite a few creative ideas, however, i am finding it difficult to get the right balance between being creative yet professional and having enough room to fit all the information on.

wish me luck!

Baltic

I decided to go to the Baltic today so see if there is anything of interest to look at. As usual there wasn't that much there that i found interesting at all, as a lot of it i just dot understand and think its just stupid. However there was one exhibition that intrigued me by Jenny Holzer, where she uses projections and LED installations to get across her messages. As the lights are so bright and alluring i feel it could be used in advertising in some way. the way the words move around and shoot across and into things works quite well and makes you want to read whats moving. Plus the colours are really pretty!
